If your student is going to miss school for any reason, please make sure you notify the school by submitting an Absence Report through Gradelink. This same system should also be used to report tardies.

Important Attendance Information

Please keep the following information from the Parent/Student Handbook in mind:

Absences
Excused or unexcused absences may not exceed 30 days. For Junior/Senior High students, missed class periods may not exceed 30 days for full-credit courses or 15 days for half-credit courses.

Tardies
Students are expected to arrive at school on time each day. Three tardies will be counted as one absence. Consistent tardiness will be addressed by the School Board and may lead to dismissal from LCA.

Make-Up Work
Students are expected to make up all incomplete work within one week of returning to school. Failure to complete the work within that timeframe will result in zeros for the assignments; however, students will still be required to complete the missed work.
